View this email in your browser There's something about afternoon tea....  Most afternoons when I arrived home from school, my Mom would put the kettle on and make a pot of tea in her favourite Brown Betty tea pot. She would let me choose a teacup from her beautiful collection of vintage china cups and we would sit and talk about the day over a cup of tea and a cookie or sometimes even a piece of cake. I treasure the memories of those first 'afternoon teas' with my Mom. They gave me a real passion for the lovely traditional pause in the day afternoon tea brings.  Later I learned more about afternoon tea and all it could entail, which fit in perfectly with the collection of vintage recipes Mom shared with me. I love making Grandma Ruby's delicious Orange and Raisin Scones, my Auntie Margaret's Spice Cake and Mom's Coconut Meringue Cookies to share with family and friends. And now I can share them with you and everyone else as well, not just through my website, but also through my Vintage Afternoon Tea Workshops. Find Out More and Book Vintage Summer Afternoon Tea Workshop We'll do a deep dive into traditional British afternoon tea and discuss about lots of ideas for enjoying and hosting different vintage themed Summer Afternoon Teas. We'll also bake my Grandma Ruby's deliciously easy Orange and Raisin Scones as well as another vintage recipe from my family's collection. (If you would rather just watch me demonstrate and make the recipes another time, that's okay too!) You will also receive a printable booklet with lots of ideas and recipes for unique afternoon tea celebrations. The 90 minute workshop will be relaxed with time for questions both before and after. There will also be an optional 30 minute "virtual afternoon tea" at the end, a great opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea, eat your delicious scones while they are still warm, and chat with fellow workshop participants.  This is a fun way to connect with far away family and friends too.
