July 2, 2021 | Today's news and insights for supply chain leaders Note from the editor As we enter July, it's a good time to reflect on the challenges we faced in the first half of the year.
In the past six months, there has been congestion ... all around. There was congestion on the West Coast, at the Suez Canal, and later, in Yantian. It's a set of events that were individually troublesome, but combined to create systemic problems for many industries. In turn, executives say transportation costs are up while inventory levels are strained.
What's next? As we look to H2 2021, we will keep digging into the trends, and would love to hear from you on what we missed.
