It's still raining. These days, they no long announce when it will rain. They announce when it won't rain and which days of the week you can plan to do something "outside," like barbecue.

I hope all of this rain -- and there is so much of it -- is actually sinking into the aquifer. I sure do hope we don't get the equivalent amount of snow in winter. We would be completely buried.

QUESTIONS:

Are justice and the law necessarily the same thing?

Apparently not. I don't think I really need to explain it. The frequent murders of Black people for no real reason. That the courts don't even try these officers. Most of them never go to trial, never stand in front of a judge. And how about all those cowards who attacked the Capital? Are they going to be in front of a judge and jury? Or will they all make little deals and get off essentially free?

Law is law and justice is something else. They have never been the same, but these days, there seems to be a wider gap than ever before.

Which kitchen appliance do you use every day?

The refrigerator.

What is one thing you'll never do again?

Oh there are so many things. They aren't things I won't do again. More like things I can't do again. I can't ride and I can't run. I can't dive. I can't perform on the piano. I'll never swim from a beach on St. Maarten's to a ship a mile from shore, then swim back again.

I'll never go back to Europe because we'll never have the money and even if we did, I can't do that much walking.

I'm more inclined to think about what I can do and probably will do. The pictures I'll take, the posts I will write. The friends we will visit and who may visit us. Maybe there will yet be some surprises.

What event escalated very quickly?

I'm not sure what this question means. What event? An event in which I was involved or something political? I'm not going to answer because I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say.

Maybe the answer is EVERYTHING. Life. Politics. Climate change. You name it and it has probably escalated. Whatever it is or was.
