'Smile love it might never happen' is never going to help you get a smile here. And is not what I said to Nana at Cafe Kwae.
Being kind to people is too easily being forgotten in our world. One of my biggest turnoffs when I meet people is how they treat people who they think 'can't' do anything for them.
Seeing someone's humanity only is a lifestyle I abide by and it has provided endless opportunities for me that I wasn't looking for. I try my best not to judge or set expectations for people based on how I would approach situations but tonight I implore you to see the human first. And to smile more.
You attract more bees with honey than vinegar.
As cliche as the above is, it's far too often forgotten. Vitriol and hatred are given a much larger platform than they deserve or need, could we collectively decide we're going to change the narrative?
Nana is drinking Pimms and lemonade at Cafe Kwae, a rustic rooftop terrace in Accra. It's perfect for light lunch and small bites and pictures clearly!
