I know the 4th of July is a celebration of America and everything, but I mostly get excited about the food.
For me, it's the perfect excuse to make all of the best summer foods and share it with friends and family. (Bonus if there's fireworks afterwards.)
Let's celebrate summer food!
Whatever your plans are for the long weekend, I hope it involves something (or many things) delicious.
And if you need some suggestions, then you opened the right email!
My favorite 4th of July recipes
Black and Blueberry Pie - (pictured) can't beat a summer fruit pie!
My Favorite Homemade Burger Recipe - plus how to set up a "Burger Bar" with all the toppings.
Berry Poke Cake from Scratch - no Jell-O mix here, this cake is completely homemade!
The Best Potato Salad - always a family favorite!
Classic Strawberry Shortcakes - it's not summer until you've had strawberry shortcake, am I right?
Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches - can be made on the grill or in the slow cooker (for a set it, and forget it option).
Easy Creamy Coleslaw - it's a classic and belongs at every summer bbq.
Grilled Hasselback Potatoes with Chive Butter - the perfect side dish for barbecued chicken or steak.
Chocolate Cookie and Ice Cream Sandwiches - because it is so hot everywhere right now, and ice cream is the only answer.
xoxo,
Annalise
