The ONLY Mapo Tofu Recipe You Need

Hi we,

This authentic mapo tofu recipe has been the most popular recipe on my blog for more than 6 years! 

Here are some pieces of positive feedback from my readers:

The secret to creating the best mapo tofu is using the correct ingredients. In this post, I want to introduce two key ingredients in Sichuan cooking:

  • Doubanjiang
  • Sichuan peppercorns

With these two, you can make many authentic dishes such as Sichuan Eggplant, Dan Dan Noodles, and Red Oil Wontons. 

But today, let's start with the easiest one:
