|     End of a Daycare Era! We have been sending at least one of our children to the same daycare for approximately six years. That's kind of hard for me to process, but as of this week, we are done with daycare. Our daughter is moving on to go to "the big school" with her Bro this fall and that means, finally, after many years, only having to drop kids off at one location every day. If that's not worth celebrating then I'm not sure what is!
Congrats to this beautiful, strong-willed 4-year old for moving on to bigger and hopefully better things!

SPICY CORN SALAD It's rare that I will venture to improve on a NY Times recipe but I had a sort of lackluster corn salad from them recently and it made me sad because corn salad should be THE thing everyone can make right now. So I tried to fix it. 
GRILLED SHORT RIBS These grilled short ribs are a bit different from your standard low-and-slow ribs. These are cooked over high heat and heavily charred. The result is a chewy, meaty bite that needs a bright chimichurri sauce to work. Luckily that's included! 
WATERMELON BOURBON SMASH It's hot and you need a drink that is mega-refreshing. This Watermelon Bourbon situation is quite possibly my favorite drink of summer. Gotta make the fresh watermelon juice though or just don't bother!
