Jerusalem may be the holiest city on Earth, but it's hiding an unholy secret.
When FBI agent Peter Connelly takes a job in Israel to leave personal demons behind, he is assigned to investigate a young American's murder there.
While trying to figure out what happened to the American, Connelly becomes embroiled in a conspiracy thousands of years in the making that has the potential not only to reveal some of the city's darkest secrets but also to change the course of history. As Connelly tries to piece everything together -- under the guidance of new boss and occasional lover Lynn Monahan -- he soon realizes that he might not be the only person looking for answers.
