The Nutrition Mechanic Toolbox 🛠🥕

Tinkerings from the Toolbox

Happy Friday, -

The Fall season is approaching around here and I know many of you are in the mood to prepare some different meals to change up the rotation a bit. Some new recipes are always a great way to provide a little zing to the zang.

If you checked out the Pantry Essentials blog recently, our Dietitian-Mechanic Maggie gave us a number of simple staples to keep stashed for good "go to" ingredients that can be used in a variety of ways.

This month, she provides us some ideas for how to use those staples in tasty and simple meals. Heyyyy... tasty + simple = an "A List" Recipe, eh?

The recipe below is an upgraded quickie pasta salad that contains... dare I say... pistachios! Uh huh. I did a double take too when I saw this listed in the ingredients. If you have the extra time, toast the pistachios for an extra palate pleaser.

Oh, and don't know what "protein pasta" is? If you check out the pasta section at your food market, you'll find a variety of enhanced dry pastas made from foods such as lentils, black beans, peas, and chickpeas. This provides you additional protein and fiber for more sticking power!
Check out the other 2 recipes for "Salmon Quinoa Salad" and her unique take on the "3 Bean Salad" on our blog. And geesh, if you're not much into cooking, then forward this to someone who will prep for you... and then give them a big hug for us, please.
Nourish Circle Program: Menopause Nutrition for the Active Woman
As much as some of you may want to cringe seeing the word 'menopause,' the fact is that it's a very natural process and we need to change the negativity all around it. (And guys, you don't have to stop reading this section...keep with me here in case you know someone this may resonate with.)

As an athletic woman myself in perimenopausal years, I want to know what to do better with my nutrition, mind-body, fitness, and all the other goodies that come up in this phase of life. I want to know how I can age with a decent level of badassery and keep my body running trails and lifting heavy shit.

I don't accept that our menopause years means life is over and we must now turn into piles of unworthiness, old geezers, and give the Youngers all the fun. WTH.

Are you with me on this?

This is a part of why the Nourish Circle program was born at the start of 2021. But ultimately, I want to support other women like you and invite you to come along on this journey too. I want you to understand what changes occur within the body and how to fine-tune the nutrition piece to support your goals, whatever they look like for you.

We don't need a case of excusitis that menopause ruined a good handful of our lively years.

We need the tools, strategies, and our own NOURISH PLAN to boldly step forward into our next life chapter with vitality, strength, and lots of heck yeahs and high tens.

Take a look-see at the 4-month Nourish Circle program here and snag your spot in the program while the early bird enrollment is open. You also have the opportunity to schedule a chat with me to make sure this program is a good fit for you. Women, let's join together and uplift one another! You can also check out other amazing opportunities for growth in your life by visiting Grow Circles Coaching and getting a free consult with Coach Cheri Ruskus.
Nourish your awesomeness,
-Dina
