Nov. 23, 2021 | Today's news and insights for waste and recycling leaders Note from the editor It's been a banner year of mergers and acquisitions among large waste and recycling companies. The cycle of corporate consolidation and fresh business expansion is nothing new for the sector, but numerous factors have made 2021 especially active. Waste Dive has been working to bring you the highlights, but we know there's plenty more activity happening. That's why we're launching a new M&A tracker to try to catalog what this trend actually looks like among solid waste-focused companies in the United States. While we've assembled dozens of transactions, including many of the highest-profile ones, the list is not definitive and excludes some deals we couldn't sufficiently verify. If you know of other deals that should be included, or even just picked up a rumor you can't quite confirm yourself, I'd be glad to hear from you. We'll be updating it at least through the end of the year and welcome any feedback you may have on how to make this resource as useful as possible.
