NEW BOOK: Delicious Disney: Walt Disney World: Recipes & Stories from The Most Magical Place on Earth
Walt Disney World honors its fiftieth anniversary with "The World's Most Magical Celebration," an 18-month event that began on October 1, 2021. As part of the festivities, the new cookbook, Delicious Disney: Walt Disney World by authors Pam Brandon and Marcy Corriker Smothers brings an inside look at the Florida resort's culinary past, present, and future – all organically woven around diverse recipes from the Disney Chefs and fit for home chefs of varying skill levels.
Last week we spoke with the staff at Bread and Co in Winter Park and found out the owners were closing both locations (Fairbanks and Lotte Market) to reopen on Friday Oct 29 as a new franchise of Tous Les Jours USA bakery! Tous les Jours means 'every day' in French and is a "French-Asian-inspired" bakery. As of 2021, it has more than 1,650 locations worldwide.
The bakery is now open in both Winter Park and Lotte Locations
As the seasons change, Orlando natives can count on one thing to remain constant: the weather. Here in Central Florida, we can continue to embrace the warmth and sunshine all year round. One of our favorite ways to appreciate the nice weather is by spending some time at the many rooftop bars and restaurants throughout the city. Luckily for us, these spots are aplenty throughout Orlando and its surrounding areas.

We were invited to Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort to experience this year's Food & Wine classic event and we enjoyed our evening walking along the beautiful causeway trying unlimited samples of amazing food and beverage offerings. It was a truly gorgeous evening filled with entertaining, unforgettable, and mouthwatering experiences. Here is our Inside Look -
Soseki is an epic 10 seat omakase dining experience in Winter Park, located next to Austin's Coffee - known for their sushi and globally inspired seasonal dishes that takes diners on a culinary journey. Since Soseki means "foundation" and Omakase means "leave it to the chef", guests can expect a Japanese forward menu that includes a piece by piece sushi nigiri with a modern take on European dégustation service.
The Celeste hotel is a part of the Marriott family Tribute Portfolio, located right on the UCF campus in east Orlando, and home to one of the finest new restaurants in Orlando right now.
With an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced food and the inspiring culinary genius of Chef Mike Trudnak, Aurora is the signature Celeste Hotel restaurant experience.
Despite opening in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, Aurora has really found its stride under the leadership of Chef Trudnak.
Chef Mike and the Aurora team are taking reservations now for their special Thanksgiving Day menu (which features a "white chocolate" version of the Supernova dessert) and we recently had a chance to preview the menu. The dishes were superb and probably will be the best thing being served Thanksgiving day – no offense to the home cooks out there! Delightfully, there is also quite the lovely selection of hearty vegetarian friendly dishes on the menu as well for those vegetarians in your life. Make sure to RSVP ASAP as this meal will likely sell out.
