HAPPY NEW YEAR
If you're after a special dessert for the new year but don't want to run to the shops for special ingredients, look no further than this
Pineapple Tart.
It's an updated recipe (new pics and better instructions!) and was one of the first I shared on the blog back in early 2018.
You need only pantry staples to put it together, and if you don't have a tin of crushed pineapple you can use a tin of pineapple circles and chop/crush it up yourself.
It's one of Nana Ling's handwritten recipes from the late 1930s and was one of my very first "favourites" from her collection.
I've cooked it up for New Year and have already sampled the results – even better than I remembered from the first time I cooked it up.
