Anyone else wondering how in the world the year is almost over already?
It seems like time goes by even faster year after year.
…… and somehow it always blows my mind when December creeps up on us. Please tell me I'm not alone?!
It's why savoring these winter days is extra important to me.
To slow down and enjoy a meal with my family, even if it's quick. To get outside and breathe in the crisp, fresh air together, even if we're bundled up from our noses to our toes. To light candles and put on a playlist that emits calm and joy, even if everything else feels a bit chaotic.
But, you won't catch me in the kitchen for hours on end preparing meals, especially after a busy weekday when it gets dark at, oh, 4:30pm.
Nope, the name of the game this season (and always) is SIMPLE, yet healthy and delicious. And so, I have a few winter recipe staples that accomplish just that to share with you today!
Plus a few other seasonal goodies for your home (& heart) below…
1.
This playlist that I always come back to for some calm. If Leon Bridges, Hozier, Vance Joy and The Paper Kites are your vibe, you need to save this playlist. It immediately adds some peace to any environment (even if the kids are screaming and/or running around….. trust). It's a favorite around here all year long, but especially now!
2.
The loveliest winter candles (that don't have any bad chemicals). Non-toxic (unlike most scented candles) and sooo festive for this time of year! You need this candle— and bonus that it makes a great gift for anyone & everyone on your list. I also love these taper candle holders to set the ultimate winter #mood. I have both the black and white.
Cold mornings + warm bevvies are all the better with pretty mugs, yeah? This one is my favorite on rotation lately (& also makes a fab gift for the holidays). I love the pretty caramel color and soft shape!
