I'm looking forward to sharing savory baking recipes, starting with this Deep Dish Pizza Bread! I have been highly enamored with Kristina Cho's new cookbook, Mooncakes and Milk Bread; which is where this recipe comes from. It uses her Mother of All Milk Bread dough, which is incredible and can be used in many applications, both sweet and savory.
This pizza bread is the best dinner I've had in a long time. All your favorite things about pizza in a delicious milk bread, made in a cast iron skillet. The edges are laced with crispy mozzarella cheese (a la Detroit-style pizza), and the dough is soft and delicious.
