Eating Disorder Help, Loving Yourself, and Vaginal Health

March is here and spring is right around the corner. It's the perfect time to clean things out and that includes old ways of doing things.

So much has changed in our world and if we keep doing what we've always done we miss out. Because whether we like it or not things are always changing.

First is the sad fact that eating disorders are on the rise. Last week was Eating Disorders Awareness week. With Covid and non-stop media messages, kids and adults are struggling more than ever before. It's important to be able to spot the early signs of an eating disorder because early treatment is still the best antidote.

I updated my post 3 Signs Your Child is Developing an Eating Disorder. Remember, up to 25% of eating disorder occur in boys so ALL parents need to be in the know.

I was looking through old computer files and ran across an essay I wrote over 14 years ago. This was the time I realized that I needed to do healthy differently after having kids. I fell into the trap of putting my kid's health and well-being first and ignoring my own. But I took the love I had for my new little one and directed it to me.

As women get older, we don't always realize we need to care for our private parts differently. I invited Shirley Weir from Menopause Chicks on the podcast because I kept seeing her pleas for women to moisturize their vaginas.

That definitely caught my attention.

I knew from my research that after 40 we experience vaginal changes and my conversation with Shirley expands on this topic. Vaginal heath is not just about feeling comfortable (although that matters!), it's also about decreasing the risk of recurrent UTIs and incontinence. Don't miss it!
