Making Noodles on Keto: The Ultimate Guide

All over the world, you'll find different variations of noodles, but each noodle will also add enough net carbs to transform the recipe into a less healthy, high-carb dish. This leaves us with two strategies we can use:

Cut the noodles out altogether or use a low-carb noodle alternative.

KETO PESTO CHICKEN PASTA

There is something about the classic combination of fragrant basil, salty Parmesan, and lemon that make the flavors in a pesto dish absolutely sing. Pesto sauced zucchini noodles are complemented here with juicy chicken breast and baked tomatoes that flood your mouth with natural sweetness as they pop in your mouth.
CHICKEN PARMESAN WITH CABBAGE PASTA

This Italian dish is filled with ripe tomatoes and parmesan cheese. A classic Italian plate without all the carbs! The cabbage is fried in butter until it is just soft and this makes the perfect under-pairing to the cheesy Italian chicken parmesan - soaking up the sauce just like real noodles would.
ZUCCHINI RIBBONS WITH AVOCADO AND WALNUT PESTO

Zucchini noodles have been the holy grail of pasta replacement for years. Unfortunately, making "zoodles" often takes a fancy zucchini noodle making contraption that you may or may not be able to get your hands on. Solution? Zucchini ribbons!
EGGPLANT AND BACON ALFREDO

Are you ready for this stick-to-your-rib noodle dish that just happens to be low-carb? Eggplant noodles soak up all of the bacon fat, then they're coated with a quick Alfredo sauce and tossed with crispy bacon. This is a hearty dinner that everyone will love.
LASAGNA WITH KETO NOODLES

Lasagna is a classic casserole that reminds me of grandma's home cooking. We layer our homemade noodle with a meaty tomato sauce, and a special cheese topping. Instead of ricotta, we cut the carbs with a cheesy spread made from mozzarella, sour cream, and Parmesan.

SPICY BEEF RAMEN BOWL

Getting a nice hot bowl of ramen is certainly something I miss while eating keto. Thankfully, it's still something you can have if you replace the carby noodles. We used slices of beef, but you can add any kind of protein you prefer to the finished umami-packed mushroom broth.
ALFREDO ZOODLES WITH BACON

The spiralized zucchini in this dish is a soft yet crunchy alternative for pasta dishes. The cream sauce I made for this tastes unbelievable and bacon is just the perfect topping for this to bring all the ingredients together!
