Protein is the most metabolically active macronutrient, meaning that it takes the most caloric burn to digestion protein than carbs or fats.
This keeps your metabolism revving! Not to mention adequate protein helps keep you full and satisfied and helps you build muscle if you're resistance training. More muscle on your body = a higher metabolism at rest! Getting more protein might be just what you need to bust through a fat loss plateau or see more results from your hard workouts.
