National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month: Week 1

May is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month! We invite you to join us for 31 Days of Action to raise asthma and allergy awareness. All month, we'll offer easy ways you can help people increase their confidence when using asthma and allergy medicines, including inhalers and injections.




See what we have planned all month long:

May 1: Download and share our asthma (PDF), allergy (PDF), and food allergy (PDF) fact sheets or images throughout the month.


 

May 2: Follow AAFA National on FacebookTwitterInstagramYouTubeTikTok, and Pinterest. Change your profile pictures. For food allergy awareness, follow our Kids With Food Allergies division. 

May 3: World Asthma Day

  • Stay tuned for a big announcement from AAFA!
  • AAFA is presenting to EPA Region 4: Asthma Disparities and the Impacts of Climate Change and COVID-19

May 4: Have you subscribed to all of AAFA's newsletters? Make sure you are also on our other mailing lists so you can stay up to date on everything AAFA has to offer.

May 5: It's Air Quality Awareness Week. Learn how air quality impacts health equity.

May 6: Learn about asthma treatments and how to take them correctly.

May 7: Review your Asthma Action Plan and/or Anaphylaxis Action Plan. Check expiration dates and remaining doses on your medicines.
