Any of these sound familiar to you, E? “I’ll get back on track with my eating and exercise AFTER… … the weekend. … the baby is born. … school lets out for the summer. … things get back to normal.” 🙃 Sounds reasonable enough, right? After all, what’s the harm in letting someone take a break from their nutrition and fitness plan until they can “give it the effort it deserves?” ‘Round here we call this the “pause-button mentality.” And though it may seem innocent on the surface, it could actually be sabotaging your and your clients’ health and fitness goals in the long run. Here’s why hitting “pause” is such a bad idea—and what to do instead. Instead of pressing pause on your efforts the next time something comes up… Try looking at your nutrition and fitness as dials that you can adjust up or down, depending on what you’re ready, willing, and able to do on any given day. It’s a lot more fun that way… and it leads to much better results in the long run. Double win! Click here to learn how to “adjust your dials” for nutrition, movement, and overall health.
