| Meet Chuck Charnichart. She has been the brisket pitmaster at Texas Monthly's number one Goldee's since the fall. She's having a pop-up at Goldee's next weekend, August 5-6, with hours being 11 until sold-out, which will probably happen fast. She plans to return to the Austin area later this year to open a brick and mortar, called Barbs B Q, so if you're in DFW, I highly recommend you come check out her amazing barbecue and sides, all inspired by Brownsville, her hometown. Menu items include brisket, ribs, chicken, choriqueso sausage, green spaghetti, cactus salad, and beans a la charra. |
