Happy Saturday, friends!
We've had a taste of fall with some chilly mornings, but we've also been blessed with mild, sunny afternoons. Tomorrow, the crew is headed to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for their annual pilgramage to Lambeau Field to watch their beloved Packers. I get to enjoy a rare, quiet weekend at home with only the dog! No complaints here.
I hope you'll be cooking up something delicious this weekend!
SEASONAL FAVORITES - Here are some tasty tidbits I shared on Facebook this week.
Hot Fudge Pudding Cake - A self saucing cake that is great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Layered Chocolate Chip Cookies - No ordinary chocolate chip cookies, these have chocolate shards nestled between layers of cookie dough.
Cookie Dough Rice Krispie Treats - These are basically Rice Krispie Treats on steroids with a layer of cookie dough and ganache on top of cereal treats.
ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK:
Chocolate Raspberry Pavlova - A stunning chocolate meringue shell topped with whipped cream and berries. It's perfect for company.
Homemade Applesauce - My Mother-In-Law made applesauce almost every time we visited---mostly for her grandchildren, but we all loved it. It's super easy to make and perfect for your fall menu.
Chocolate Caramel Streusel Bars - A Layered Bar that I featured back in 2010. I remade these last week and they helped satisfy my caramel cravings!
Happy Baking,
XOXO, Liz, That Skinny Chick Can Bake
