Have you ever made scones in a loaf pan?

 

A slice of this soft and tender Chocolate Orange Scone Loaf is quite divine. By baking all the dough at once in a loaf pan, it's less likely to be overbaked or overworked than individual scones, and it's very easy to shape.

I love orange and chocolate together, the citrus complementing the bittersweet chocolate in each bite. A sprinkle of sanding sugar on top gives it extra crunch and sweetness. And a real bonus; the scone loaf stays moist for a few days.
