Can I be honest with you we?
I started to run in-person retreats again because I saw the need in myself.
The needed to get out of my routine, have someone else cook healthy detoxing foods, have time to move my body, be guided in meditation, be given time to journal, someone to put chocolate in my hands and a hug around my body. I needed some space, some time, some beauty, peace and deep nourishment - mind, body and soul.
I started taking myself on retreat when my twin girls were still babies because I saw myself headed for burnout.
I felt resentful, tired and depleted. And I knew I needed to ramp up my own self-care. I knew that everything I loved, everything I did - every job, every role, every responsibility I had depended on me being well, energised, and healthy.
I knew my 3 tiny kids needed a mum who was as physically and mentally resilient as possible.
I knew my business would not survive if got chronic fatigue again.
I knew my marriage could disappear if I had no energy or headspace to tend to it.
I knew my finances would be impacted if I could no longer work.
I knew my body had been through so much and it needed tending too.
I knew that I still had so many dreams left to tick off my list (do a triathlon, become someone who could run up mountains, make and sell painting and poetry, run retreats etc) and that I needed energy, good health, stable hormones, a resilient mind, good sleep and steady energy to do these things.
AND I knew that I deserved to feel good. That the postpartum survival mode I was in was not the way to live my whole life.
I wanted to feel good - have energy, have space, feel resilient, well, strong...and I knew that no one was going to make that happen other than me.

While I doubt your dream is to do a triathlon (my first and maybe last one is in August!!!) but just know that your body, your energy, and your health are the foundation of it all.
And I just want to remind you of this we.
You get to feel good - and it really important that you do.
Your rest, your brain, your hormones, your gut, your sleep, and your mental health are all essential, vital resources in your life.
And there is SO MUCH YOU CAN DO!
You CAN feel better than you do right now - this I can guarantee. But you first probably need to SHIFT some things that are getting in the way.
Need to shift some old habits and routines. Shift some symptoms, some old stories, some confusion or overwhelm.
And this is really hard to do on your own - which is why you are invited to retreat with me and 5 other women.

And what will we be doing on the SHIFT Retreat?

Saturday
- 7.30 am - yummy detox drinks, guided meditation, simple breathwork practice (pj's still on!)
- 8.30 am - 2-course organic protein-rich breakfast with access to the herbal medicine and supplement 'station', spa water
- 10 am - a deeply nourishing and restorative yoga class
- 12 pm - cacao ceremony, optional cold water dip in the sea & some snacks
- 1.30 pm - homemade soup, gluten-free bread, ham, smoked salmon, and hummus eaten slowly around the kitchen table
- 2 pm - beach or small hill walk OR you can either enjoy some time on your own or have a nap!
- 4 pm - guided meditation and simple breath work
- 5.30 pm - a slow delicious dinner with kombucha, and raw chocolate dessert
- 7 pm - guided meditation and emotional detox session and fire
