My friend Wendy was full of surprises, and she could turn the most mundane moment into a grand adventure. Take the time we had fried mushrooms. While we'd never seen her order a basket in her life, she convinced us that she not only loved them dearly but they also could be life changing, if we just gave them a chance. My friends and I followed her lead, and agreed that each bite was savory, crunchy, and a fine vehicle for the ranch dressing.
