A little bit about Farrer's Our Story In 1819 our business was founded as a tea and coffee merchant in Stricklandgate, Kendal where John Farrer proudly served the finest blends of tea and freshly roasted coffee to the people of Cumbria. 200 years later and our mission remains to bring you the highest quality teas and fresh coffee experience. We're one of the UK's oldest coffee roasters and now serve customers from all over the globe via our webshop. We blend tea and roast coffee from our purpose designed roastery on the outskirts of Kendal continuing to follow John's passion with everything we do. John would still recognise some of our most popular products, including Farrer's No. 1 Blend and Lakeland Special Tea. These closely guarded blends were passed down through the generations and are still sold to this day. We hope you enjoy our products, just as much as John loved creating and serving them 200 years ago. The people behind the magic Steve Master Coffee Roaster Employed: 34 years Steve is our master roaster and native Cumbrian. With over 30 years of coffee roasting experience he makes sure every roast is sublime. Rob Operations Manager Employed: 22 years Rob is our operations manager and resident engineer. He's a man of many talents and held almost every job you can imagine in the roastery!   Che' Production Supervisor/Coffee Roaster Employed: 4 years Che'  is our expert coffee cupper and friendly New Zealander.
