What to make in August

By the time the calendar flipped to August when I was in high school, it meant we had just two weeks left of summer. Our marching band started practicing for eight hours a day mid-month (I played the flute!), so we tried to cram as many of our favorite things as we could into those last two weeks of summer vacation.

Midweek movie nights, afternoons at the pool, full days at the water slides, trips into the city… And lots of summery sweet treats!

Since it's the first day of August, I thought it'd be fun to share some of my favorite summer recipes with you.

There's a little bit of everything! Fruit-filled muffins, homemade ice cream, cookies, cake, froyo, and more.

These are the recipes I'd want to make as often as possible and squeeze into the last few weeks of summer over and over again. (Well… At least until pumpkin season begins! 😉)

Tip: You can find more of my healthy summer-themed recipes here!

If you make any of these recipes, I'd love to hear what you think of your treats!

You can leave me a note and rate the recipe in the comments section underneath each recipe on my blog.

If you take pictures, you can share those with me on Instagram here by using the #amyshealthybaking hashtag, or you can share them with me on Facebook here!

I'm really excited to hear and see what you make!
