Hi there, I hope you're having a great week. This week I want to share a delicious and healthy dessert recipe - Black Sesame Sweet Rice Balls. These rice balls have a texture like mochi: gooey and soft. They're stuffed with a runny sweet and buttery black sesame filling that is so good. Traditionally they're served to celebrate the Lantern Festival, but I love them so much and serve them throughout the year. They freeze very well so they're perfect to make ahead and enjoy later. I also shared an updated version of La Zi Ji (Sichuan Mala Chicken), with brand new photos, a video, and clearer instructions. The dish features crispy chicken smothered in chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorns, and tons of aromatics to create an electrifyingly hot numbing sensation that's so addictive. It does take a minute to put together, but it guarantees the best Sichuan experience just like the one you'd eat in a restaurant. Do not miss it if you can handle the heat! That's all for this week! I hope you have an amazing weekend and happy cooking! Maggie |
