Hey E! "ALL the time and effort I have put into losing weight hasn't gotten me anywhere." OOOF, that is a HEAVY feeling just reading. 🥺 But, E, maybe you relate? Maybe you do the latest diet (Keto, maybe?) or decide to do a 2-week fast or go hard with trending workout videos… and you drop a few pounds. But fast forward a few months… …and you're staring at the scale watching as the number stays stuck.. ....or maybe it's starting to climb back up again? You feel like you're doing everything right - eating well, exercising, doing cardio, but you don't look like you work out or have the lean, toned body that you want! Maybe you've even started to think about food all.the.time. You wonder if you'll ever be normal around it. Will food ever be easy? It's both frustrating and disappointing, isn't it? The truth is, these are not sustainable ways of getting strong and fit. Can you imagine cutting carbs or over thinking about food for the rest of your life in the name of "being fit?" I sure cannot. And, let me tell you, that is NOT how the Lord would want you to pursue losing fat and getting strong and fit so that you love what you see in the mirror! John 10:10 says the "thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the FULL." When you lose weight in a restrictive way, not ONLY is it SO frustrating when the pounds come right back.... ...It's also letting the thief, steal, kill and DESTROY your life; not letting yourself experience the FULL life that the Lord has for you. And, ultimately, it puts your focus on the FLESH which can turn into an idol before the Lord preventing you from a deep, transformational relationship with Him!
